Interesting part is according to Red sea manual if you go over 0.8 then you have possibly missed the titration point and redo the test.

Note: Shortly after the blue end color is achieved the liquid in the vial will turn from blue to violet. Do not continue adding titrant. If you have used more than 0.8ml of titrant you may have missed the end point and should redo the test....(quoted from Red sea manual)

Nope...stopped at first sight of blue

Then you are trying to say the salt mix contain 1700 ppm of Magnesium....lol....its a bit hard to believe.

What your address sir, I'll send you some of the salt....I have done numerous tests time after time, 3 boxes straight, used red sea and salifert tests with all over 1600...
Not being rude just frustrated and trying to get to bottom of this

that syringe is messed up. that reading would be .o.15 0r 15. 100-15=85 and if this is your Ca then your Ca would be a 425ppm

Do you see how the rubber is in the tip? The tip is missing off of your syringe. That would effect the draw of titration:). I think it was a good idea to send off the samples. Make sure that you bag the samples sealed. Also mark the envelopes salt samples for testing. You do not to get the post office all crazy, think it is some thing else.

Is always been like that...every single syringe I've ever used is like the one I have....
