That is what I found works best for me.
In 80 gallons of water volume I use
1 cup carbon placed in stocking footie on top of the life bio fil
1/4 cup of phosphate minus in a small reactor
30 oz of life bio fil lose in my flow tray. I replaced %20 after 8 weeks.

I'll be putting it all in my reactor so bio fill, carbon and then phosphate minus...

Ok guys, I just tested my tank. 7.8 dkh, 450 cal, but still I have over 1600 mag....I even tapped the air bubbles out of the syringe so that it replicates the new syringes.....so there was no air and the fluid level was at 1.0

I've tried that already....you came up with the theoryx that the syringes don't have the plastic tip to them causing inaccurate tests...so today I tested without the air bubble and still got over 1600 mag.
