Here is my tank from about 2 months ago. I've been using AF comp 123 for about a year, I stated this tank with it. I dont use any of their other products anymore. I really like their Comp 123 I think it's an awesome product. The rest of their additive are kind of meh. So on top of Comp 123 I've been doing a Triton every two months and dose Triton additives according to the test results.
It seems I end up being low on Magnesium, Iodide and Potassium most often.

Congratulations nice looking tank, I have been doing the same. I went back to the basics, my Mg has always run low and I dose Mg+ along with 1+2+3+ and that fix my issue. Iodide and potassium is always going to run low, and over dosing can really have some bad effects. After stating that on my next mix of 1+2+3+ I am going to add small amount more of potassium to the mix

Which Aquaforest salt are you using? Also how long is it stored in the tank after you mix up an entire batch? Is your mixing vat in a basement? Is the vat constantly being stirred and heated?

Well no this is not normal for this salt.

Aquaforest salt is designed to be used within 48 hours of mixing. The Probiotic salt is designed to be used within 24 hours. That being said it almost looks like a bacterial bloom of sorts in your vat. I'm sure it gets really hot sitting outside in the Texas sun.

As far as the sediment that could be anything really . With it sitting outside it could be dust, pollen etc....

I could be wrong but it doesn't look like even with the top on that it's 100% sealed from the elements or the environment.

If you can I'd suggest :

Mixing smaller batches in a smaller indoor container that's protected from the environment.

One other question I have. What type of water are you mixing it with?

Tap water, well water, or RODI water?
