I am new to R2R. A few of my friends are members here, so I figured I would join as well.

I have had a 180 up and running for a few years, but recently decided to scale down to the Redsea Max S-500.

Here is the previous tank (slowly being broken down as the new tank is cycling etc.

Moved the Vortech from the previous tank down to this one:

And now I am just waiting for the tank to get through the initial Ammonia/Nitrite spikes.

Thanks for looking. Updates to come.

Very excited on the site. Great place to meet other reefers like myself.

Thank you. I am excited to get through my cycle so that I can move over my corals. I have a few nice ones for the new tank.

Moved some tester corals in tonight. We will watch them over the next few days. So far they seem one though.

We are super glad you both joined. Thank you and I can't wait for more photos! :D

Thanks guys. I moved all of my lower end corals to the tank. Ill let them sit a couple of weeks and hopefully they will be good. The candy canes that went in last night look amazing, so things are looking good.

^Thank you!

I added a few more of the lower end corals last night. Made sure to dip them even bringing them over from my own tank. Really hoping that none of those nasty little star fish came with them, but who knows?

Corals had been in the tank maybe 6 hours or so when I took these pictures. Everything looks really happy so far. The toadstools are both still adjusting, but I think they are recovering from the old tank.

Great looking tank! Love the rock work!!

Thank you! I am really glad I chose to keep the rocks off of all sides of the tank. It is just a peninsula and not only does that make cleaning easier, I can also put coral on the back side. This makes for a very cool view when looking from the side.

Moved the rest of my corals over this weekend. I will have to watch and see how they do. I need a dosing pump and some reactors next.

Corals have been in for a few weeks now, and everything looks pretty good. That favia and the montipora have both lost some color though, not sure if it is too much light, or a deficiency yet though. I will be testing tonight.
