Who target feeds vs global feeds corals.

What do you use equipment and food.

Opinions?

I do both. I broadcast feed rotifers for sps and softies but I target feed my LPS pe mysis. I also broadcast feed cyclopeez a couple of times a week. Fish and corals like them and it's great for color.

It depends for me on the type of coral, if I am worried about it, etc..

Mostly I don't target feed.

For me it depends on global nutrients, ulns I feed global, normal nutrients target.

Broadcast rods once a week with pumps off. Corals looking good!

Broadcasting works well for everything in my tank. I do target feed coralific delite though, my fungii and goni's love it.

i only target feed LPS occasionally, unless it's non-photsynthetic LPS like sun corals which need a little more frequent feedings in most cases.

I do both , target feed reed roids and broadcast feed , cyclopleze mysis, sprialina brine mega marine etc , feed heavy and export excess nitrate and phosphate with a big skimmer , a fuge and GFO

I spot feed everytime I have to shut off the pump to replace a sump sock. 2 times a week normally. Here's why I think it is beneficial to spot feet.

Don't have to over feed to make sure all corals are getting the food. This helps in the following ways:

1) Saves money on the coral food since I can use less of it when you spot feed.
2) This way I don't have too many nutrients in the tank so Cyano or other Algee can form as well.
3) More efficient when you spot feed since you are clowning the food around the corals mouth/ polyp.

I target feed only corals that are known to kind of require it for optimal health. Such as goniopora and Acans. Everything else gets global fed with the nutrients in the water.
