TBS 8lb package pictures

Does anyone have pictures of the size of rock in the TBS 8lb treasure chest package? I have looked ont he website and it says 4"-7" pieces but just wanted to see what you actually get. I have 10lbs of gulfliverock in my tank already but I need more I think. I have to much open space for me.Want to build it up closer to the light for SPS up high in the tank.

I don't have any photos of the package, but I can say it is a good amount of quality rock for seeding.

That being said, if you already have gulf live rock, I'd recommend using quality dry rock to bolster your rockscape, as it is much cheaper and will be seeded by your live rock.

Some good dry rock options:

Caribsea life rock. I like this stuff due to the color, and you can get flat or "regular" rocks. I have used it in multiple systems: https://amzn.to/49saBeD

Finally, don't forget adhesive to secure your rockscape to prevent toppling. I like to use little balls of epoxy putty, with dabs of cyanoacrylate gel on each surface with will contact rock.

My LFS has the caribsea liferock and I thought about doing that as well. Guess I will go take a look and see what pieces they have.

Just shoot them an email. While not a treasure chest I did exchange a few emails with them and ended up going with the 20 lb box. Part of the process is that they will send you a questionnaire after purchase which helps them select rocks to send. To the best of their ability.

I’ve gotten the 8 lb package. The rocks range from large baseball to xl grapefruit size roughly. I’d still recommend getting over the dry stuff. I got the CaribSea stuff and it was ok, but still prefer maricultured stuff. Partly cause I love hitchhikers of all types.
