Just wanted to share about my recent experience with Tampa Bay Saltwater live rock

I had read some great reviews about TBS so I decided to take the plunge and place an order for a 35g "package" for my IM cube this week.

I have to say, I was completely blown away by the quality of this rock. It was beautifully shaped and covered with encrusting sponges, tunicates, fan worms, coralline algae, etc. Absolutely beautiful!! And the sand was exactly the natural mixed grain texture I was looking for. Oh, and my order was shipped in the middle of a heat wave yet it arrived safe and sound and completely fresh. Just my experience, but I would recommend TBS for anyone looking for quality live rock.

Here are some pictures taken with my phone. I included a few of the unboxing process.

This rock is fascinating and demonstrates something profound

You absolutely cannot cycle all rock the same way

There are fundamentally two different types of cycles and the distinction in cycle approach is based on whether or not ammonia cycling would kill delicate organisms we paid top dollar for

In this case, you must skip cycle this rock, the ammonia suppression mode

This bacteria needs no help
it's not possible to write an accurate cycling article without this distinction
