I already have 100+ lbs of dry real rock, not mined or manufactured, it's just dry and I dont have sand how much sand should i get from tbs? tank footprint is 48 x 18 (28 high, but i don't think that matters)

I believe TBS recommends 1/lb per gallon and that is what I always get from them.

You could do a mix of dry and tbs sand. Its probably better to get all live sand but it will seed the rest.
