If you don't already have a PC rainbow then I would get one. Hardy, beautiful, and a fast grower. More importantly, it's the best indicator when your tank is off. It shows color changes very fast when nutrients, alk, or something else gets out of line. Doesn't kill it, but it shows you it's not happy.
