I had my well water tested for TDS, because my RODI kept blowing diagrams. The test came back over 400 TDS. Any suggestions on how to lower the TDS in my well.

Move.

Assuming that is unreasonable i know some people use a water softener prior to the rodi. Higher upfront cost, but may be worth it in long run.

How old is your RO membrane? They need to be replaced after about 3 years of so. Also, its a good idea to let the RO run for several minutes before diverting the water to the DI canister.

It was a brand new membrane. With the membrane the water is still testing 40 TDS.

I run well water and it is around 600 tds going into my rodi unit. First 4 stages take it down to around 20 before it hits my di resin. Then zero coming out

I agree with @mdb_talon. Move. That's the only realistic way to get around the well water issue. It might be more cost effective for you to buy RO/DI water from local fish store or use distilled water.

I have well and mine is 6 before RODI. I do however have a a hole house carbon filter that runs through a water softener and then to RODI unit

Do you have a chlorinator that goes into the well and a water softener? My well water comes out in the 240’s but after a 6 stage rodi it’s 0. It comes out of the carbon, sediment filter and first di cartridge at 4-7.
