So I picked this TDS meter today. In line goes before the sediment filter. Does the out line go after the Membrane filter or after the DI filter?

I have a BRS 4 stage and on mine the in is after membrane and out is after DI. This tells you if membrane is working and also when to change DI

You would want it after the DI unit as that is ultimately what you care about for the water you are making for your tank. So I have a meter and an alarm and just take the out from the DI canister and use to Ts to plug both probe in.

The IN probe goes between the RO and DI and the OUT probe goes after the DI.

If it were me though I would return it before you install it and get a much better ATC temperature compensated handheld so you can test anywhere not just two points. For RO/DI you need at least three, tap, RO only and final RO/DI plus you will want to monitor your ATO and other things too. I let the batteries die in both of my inlines, they lack the accuracy or versatility of handhelds that cost the same $25-$30.

Thanks for the replays. I do have two handheld TDS meters which have been working just fine. I was just at my LFS and they had this marked down to $15 so I picked it up. I'm going to install the in line after the membrane and the out after the DI. If done like this what should my TDS be after the membrane. Will this help me figure out when to change my membrane?

Depends on what your tds is going in. From what I have read, usually 95-98% less than source.

My well water going in is 45-65 depending on how much the water is run before hand. After membrane it is 3-4 and after DI 0
