I just got a hm digital tds meter in the mail and i was tryingf to put the probes into the t fitting but i dont want to put too much pressure that i break it, should i have to really force it in or am i doing something wrong?

They will be a tight fit, not all Ts are created to the same tolerance, but should be close. Push it in, then give it a little tug to set the teeth and o-ring. You won't break anything.
