What do you recommend for a quality hand held meter?

buy a couple of cheap ones from eBay, then if they match you know it’s probably a good reading.

I bought a HM Digital from Amazon that I'm pretty happy with. Temp and TDS measurements were accurate.

Interesting - looks like the one you linked and mine are the same - except mine states it's a Professional Series - whatever that means.

I recommend a good quality used conductivity meter with a 4 electrode probe, such as an Orion model 128 from ebay.
