Tds mystery

My inline tds meter was reading 2ppm so I knew it was time to change it out. I did so with brs resin. After I replaced my tds is now reading 10. Any ideas?

Did you let it run for a while after change out...run it until you read zero

How long has it been running? Did you change all the filters or just one?

Just changed the di resin. Other filters changed last time I changed di. I let it run for 5 gallons. Also flushed the membrane. Still reads 10.

Are you certain you added a mixed bed DI resin? A cation only or anion only resin will raise TDS as the water passes through.

Might also be channeling of water through it if it is not packed properly.

Water flows bottom to top, right?
