TDS Reading

Just bought a 4 stage 100GPD filter. After running about 50 gallons of filtered water, im reading 009 - tested tap water at 365. Am I good to go?

Ideal is 0. You can't determine what that 9 TDS is. It Could lead to more problems than it is worth. Do you use DI resin? That might bring it down to zero for you. Are the filters new or used? If it is a second hand unit, change them out.

I agree with this .. change filters and or di Resin .. tds should be 0

This is the system I have. Is this not suitable to get 0ppm?

I have recently had the same problem , bought new di Resin .. got a Reading of 39 tds , went back to shop only too find out that i had re-used di resin , didnt even know they sold that ..( i buy from a window cleaners wholesale shop) ..

that sounds...unethical. i bought this system brand new in the box and each filter was sealed. have dual 65 gallon water tanks (which i cleaned) that im filling up for ro/di and salt. i ran the filter a good 2-3 hours before i started dumping the water into one of the tanks. the most recent TDS reading is 8ppm like 15 min ago. its the aquatic life brand. just ordered new di resin so i guess we'll see. it will be here friday, and on saturday im moving a 300 gallon live setup so i better get my #@$# together before then.

Not sure how true this info is but I've been told that once a bag of DI resin has been opened the shelf life is 6 months or less.

Like I said , I buy from a window cleaning wholesale shop , they sell everything from rodi units too high pressure jet sprays .. normally they only sell di resin in 12.5 kg or 25 kg sacks , for them having a tds of 0 is not so important .. when I explained it was for my aquarium, they happily agreed to sell me 4 kg loose , I was very happy , first couple of times I bought it they always gave me new di resin ,
