Hi guys installing new tank after 10 years out of the hobby fitted a new 4 stage ro unit and have run it to waste for an hour as suggested but still getting TDS around 4 to 5
we live in a particularly hard water area but still not happy any suggestions.

Is that after the DI? What TDS is coming in?
I got myself one of handheld tds meter at amazon for $15 and it was worth it

Are you running just an RO unit, or do you have a DI canister as well?
Depended on the TDS of your source water 4 to 5 tds could be your unit running as it should as most membranes have a 95-98% rejection rate depended on temperature and pressure and incomming tds.

Yep that pretty good for an RO unit alone. A deionizing filter after the RO will take out the rest.

TDS in is 374 and yes after DI

No read through instructions again did not flush the membranes before rookie mistake

Very low in our area and temp will be just above freezing at present
