My DI resin only last about 1000 gallons before it started creeping up. It’s will go up to 32 and after running it for 30 minutes It will go down to low teens. Now it is showing single digits. I have 2 tanks separated and they have the same Phosphate levels. Could it be the water? I been meaning to change it di but I didn’t know I needed a the cartridge for it.

Phosphate will certainly be in the effluent if there is any in the source water and the TDS has rises from 0 ppm TDS, but foods are normally the main source of phosphate by a huge margin.

I am really conservative on feeding my big tank for that reason. But the small tank I can’t get my angel fish to eat seaweed. I put it out after 30 minutes or so.
