So when I put my little Goby in the DT tank soon I'm concerned some of the crabs that hitchiked in might be a threat to him and even try to eat him possibly so I'd like to try to remove as many as I can in the next few days although I know I can't get em all...what are some techniques for removal. I've heard of the "bottle neck" technique but forgot how it works. Can someone refresh my memory and/or offer other effective removal techniques?

What crabs?

Bottle trap is just taking a 20oz, Gatorade or 2 liter, cutting the top off and inserting it backwards into the bottom. Then putting food inside

What crabs?
I'm not sure but I'd guess they're gorilla crabs or stone crabs and there are at least a few...they're gray colored all over (sorry, I know this doesn't give much information). I never took them out because I never noticed them causing any harm and helped with the CUC

Are you willing or able to take pieces of rock out?

I've had good luck with hyper salinity rock dips 3-5 minutes in a bucket.
I'd really rather not disassemble the scape I have put together and have corals glued directly to some of the rocks I'd be worried about
