TECO SeaChill TR10 shutoff valves leaking everywhere

Anyone else have the (old) SeaChill chillers with those awful Shutoff valves?

Just resurrected mine from an old project, hooked it up, and the shutoff valves are leaking water everywhere. From the top mostly. These things are pretty terrible. I remember the little 1/4" nubbin sticking out also started leaking once until I used epoxy to seal it up.

This is the part that leaks, up top where you can "shutoff" the flow:

I just purchased two elbows to replace it:

Anyway, these things are poorly built. Wanted to know if anyone else had the same issues?
