I just had a maybe crazy idea. I’m thinking of putting a tee off my return pump that I can attach a flexible pipe to that I can move around my tank to help stir up the tank and clean off my rock once in awhile. Has anyone ever done this before or have any reasons why this is a bad idea?

I have not done this specifically but on water change day I use a turkey baster to stir up any detritus trapped in dead spots. . . think the same basic idea you are going for here.

I have one to blast my sump when cleaning i just put it on my manifold redirect all return going to the nozzle and boom once i have verything suspended i run it through the sock and replace the sock at the end of cleaning same idea but it does work

Ya I had heard of people who use turkey badgers but my tank is going to be 36”x36” and 24” tall so thought it would be hard for me to use one and maybe this would make it easier for me.

Hadn’t thought about the sump, that’s a good idea. Maybe I’ll make it useable for both areas. Glad to hear it works nice for you.
