Good evening!
I'm a teen reefer, always thinking about the other teen reefers. Not much light is shined on us teen reefers so I wanna hear from you. So how do you do it? care for your tank? financially support you tank? Buy the fancy named coral you have been wanting? How do you balance and manage school/work/sports etc.. Now please only answer what you fell comfortable answering, I'm just curious and wanted to start a discussion!

I am 17 just got into reefing it been 8 months since I first set up my bio cube 32, I currently have a frogspawn and hammer frag including a green bubble tip anemone and some GSP. I'm currently trying to fight allege right now it's a mixture of dinos and Cyano. Honestly, I'm a little overwhelmed because I don't really know where to start. Financial wise I currently have a part-time job but I only work on the weekends due to school and sports. I'm able to get tips at my job so whenever I do I put it into a savings jar for reef stuff.

I am 16, almost 17, been reefing for the past 6 or 7 months. This whole online school thing has allowed me to be around my tank for most of the day. I buy stuff with a little help from my mother, but I also sell used things online and ask my mother for work to get paid. LFS is also kind enough to give me discounts because I regularly buy from them, so that helps.

I'm not a teen anymore but got into the hobby when I was 14. It was tough at first because I always played football and baseball. but I learned that even through that I always had 1 day off from school, practice, or games. That was my 1 day I made myself get up and get everything done. By the time I hit my Junior year I had 8 tanks running so that 1 day was always full of tanks and then if there was time it was spent hanging out with my friends
