In short, I have 2 female filefish and a couple of days ago one of them began defending and cleaning a territory.
This coincided with me bringing a male filefish home. The thing is, he's not in the tank, he's in quarantine in a fuzzy plastic box 20 feet away.
It's a strange behavior to start with (breeding behavior by herself) and I wonder if the male presence in the house is the cause and in that case, how is she aware of his presence.
