Ok so apparently talking back to a cop on a crime scene when there are guns involved is a bad idea! Just learned a new one huh! Most cops seem to feel like they deserve a macho trip I guess,
So I get a call that there are cops everywhere at my neihbors house which my dad owns and rents to them. I go over to see what is going on, and if I need to worry about my familys safety. As I walk up to the huddle of officers Im asked who I am, After informing them that I own the property next door and my dad own this property. one officer told me very rudely to leave immediatly. As he said this I realized that on the other side of the officers were a couple guys in hand cuffs and some guns laying on the ground. So I understood the officer, even though he was alittle rude. So I waited away from everything for awhile till the firetrucks and ambulance left. By this time my dad had also arrived.
So the officer finally came over to me and my dad, at which point he started going off again for no reason. He never paid attention to me when I told him who I was, he thought I was involved with those people. even after he let us get a word in to explain who we were he then started telling us none of this was any of our buissness, and was being very rude. So by this time my dad and I had gotten so worked up that we finnally just started telling the officer just what we thought of his attitude. and I wont go into details cause it all kinda runs together, but basically he ended up calling in a supervisor and holding us there. When the supervisor got there we told him what happened and he apologized. Apparenlty this was a new cop and just needed alittle power trip. I was hoping he would walk over into my yard and id have given him a power trip. But all the other officers were very nice and I have alot of respect for what they do. Except this guy!:D But really its gotta be a stressful job. Just thought id share with yall why im still up at 12:30

Being a cop has to be a very stressful job. Actually I think it is in the top ten of being the most stressful. If this is a new cop, I wonder how long he will be able to handle the pressure. A few months ago, a cop who lives in my neighborhood shot and killed himself. He left a wife and kids behind. Before killing himself he shot up the house, he shot the dog in the leg. The dog lived but lost one leg. Fortunately the wife and kids were not home.

that's sad Reef99. I can't imagine what they go through with the things they see and they don't make crap for money. Then you have all these sports guys making multi millions of dollars, makes no sense to me.

tisk tisk tisk

sounds like someone should have stayed in their house and minded their own business.

I almost strapped on the glock 27, good thing cause I think that would have ended badly for one of us.

Tell you what I think... no, maybe I'll just keep that to myself. ;)

Seriously though, seeing and dealing with LEOs every single day of the week, I see some very good ones, and some very bad ones. Although that can be expected in any profession, it is particularily worriesome in the the law enforcement profession b/c a bad apple at the local police station can do a lot of damage.

I have the utmost respect for law enforcement, They have a tough job and its under paid. but there are some people who got into it for the macho trip side of it. those are the guys who end up killing innocent people cause they are coky punks with a trigger finger. Honestly I normally carry a gun with me. and as I walked out the door to go over there I reached for one, but I didnt have any pockets or a belt loop, So I left it. But the way he reacted when I walked up I believe there would have been a problem if he saw me walk up with a glock on my belt. He seemed like the type to fire first then ask questions. SO is it self defense for me to pull my gun if Im innocent? interesting thought huh? Well anyway this is getting deep into the "what ifs" So anyway. live and learn
