Hello. I am new to Apex and having issues with the readings on my EB832’s. I have logged a ticket but do not want to give a stranger my username and password to my Apex and that is where the help from Neptune seems to have stopped progressing. New OS/software doesn’t allow me to use telnet to log into my Apex and was curious what others have done to log into their Apex’s running new OS Catalina without using 3rd party apps etc. very frustrating. I’m also not sure how calibrating one or both of them will stop them from combining with each other. So frustrated. I wanted to spend more time on my new tank, not trying to get the crazy expensive controller and it’s peripherals to do as advertised. “Just work”

You can trust Neptune Support. Those guys are very helpful. If you're that paranoid about the password, then simply change the password before you give it to them, then change it back after they are done helping you.

I create passwords that are personal and not just random code. My main frustration is that I purchased an expensive controller to avoid the very thing I’m experiencing. Why can’t everything work without days of frustration? Also. They give instructions that tell you to use telnet which isn’t available according to my research today, since 2018.
Do no users here use an iMac to access their Apex? Thanks for replying. So frustrated.

I use iTerminal on my iPad to telnet. I do not own a Apple computer. For a computer I have a Surface and it has telnet included in the os.

Are you referencing macOS removing telnet from High Sierra and onwards? If so you can install telnet easily with homebrew or use iTerm.

Thanks for these 2 other options I haven’t tried yet. I’ll look into these as well as trying to get some education on a subject I’ve never needed to know anything about before. This whole realm of command prompts and communication IT stuff is out of my general or even “ever” use. Let’s see what I can learn.
