Temp dropped to 64 uh oh!!

Came home from work and noticed the only thing running on my tank was 2 powerheads. it seems someone accidentally knocked my extension cord loose that runs the heater, skimmer return pump and lights.

I am guessing about 8 hrs without any heat good thing i have a few powerheads on another circuit. i added 2 more heaters in to get the temp up a little faster. so far it has moved about 1 degree in an hour in a half. now that the lights are on i think everything should be ok. all fish alive and all coral including my sps loook good and have pe

i may have dodged a bullet. time to add a bunch of new circuits to the tank wall so this doesn't happen again!!

It cooled down gradually and obviously coming back up gradually shouldn't be any real huge issues... Best of luck..

Oh no. Has my 2 year old Twinklet been there?? I just received a delivery with one fish and the water temp was 60. He was on his side but seems to have recovered so I hope yours will also.

my fish were out swimming like nothing was out of sorts. so they should be good. was just worried about the sps but the pe has me pretty optimistic

evry single thing in the tank looks ok. except for my colony of jfox insane rainbow palys all shriveled up with only 2 polyps open out of about 20. gonna watch it closely. but if i only lose that i still consider myself lucky

i had a similar thing happen recently and it is a terrible feeling to realize that the tank has gotten so cold. Everything worked out well for me. Bring the temp up nice and slow and you should be fine.

Yes you are certainly lucky! My fish did not make it through the night.
