Heater is set to 82 and is sitting in chamber 3 (return chamber with pump). Readings in chamber 3 are generally 80 deg. Readings in the middle of the tank are fluctuating between 76 and 78. Is this to be expected? Had it dip down into the 75s today... Should I crank the heater up so that the middle of the tank reads 78 regardless of what the temp in the back of the tank is? Note: The temp in my home is usually around 65 right now. Cycling at the moment...no fish etc.

Thanks!

Thanks for the reply! Want to be sure I understand...more flow, as in a more powerful return pump? Or, more flow - as in get a nice powerhead pushing some water? MP10 is on my list, just wasn't a Buy it Now item...I guess I can move it up in priority if you think that would help. The other item was the Sicce Silent 1.5 (should I get a more powerful one?) - which do you think would help with the temp issue the most? Will eventually buy both, but like to spread each purchase out...
