Temp stability issues.

Right I understand now, thanks, just googled the temp range in Florida, didn’t realise it can get quite chilly there too.

I am actually in Texas but there is not a lot of difference. It probably gets a little hotter and a little colder where I am than Florida, but I am not near the coast.

Water temps out in the real ocean flucuate more than that from night to day, I would'nt be too concerned...

Yeah just realised where you are, just edited my post before your reply hit… the weather US site needs to correct it’s site, says the average in TX is only 75! even I know that is way off.

I'm in Florida, central west coast, I run one of my tanks (120g) at 78.1-78.5 it will sometimes get to 79, but this tank is in a room with a room ac and dehumidifier with 5 120mm fans that are temperature controlled. On at 78.6 off at 78.2

My other tank (48g) is in the living room and utilizes the house ac set to 76° the tank runs @ 78.8-79.2° with a ghl 2 fan setup that are temperature controlled, on at 79.3 off at 78.9

Out of interest, do you keep your aircon on 24/7?

Ac stays on all day lol. It doesn't run 24/7 because of it turning off when it reaches temp but it's on auto.

Yeah just realised where you are, just edited my post before your reply hit… the weather US site needs to correct it’s site, says the average in TX is only 75! even I know that is way off.

If that is a yearly average for the whole state then it may be cause it does get cold here. It has got down as low a 6 degrees here since I lived here. It was below 32 for almost a whole week a little over a year ago. So if you average all lows and highs for the year it may be that.

You will not damage the apex by having the fans turn on often. Right now your fans only kicked on 6 times in a day.

Off at 0.2 degrees above seasonal setpoint.

2 degree swings is way too far apart. Do 1 degree at most.

Oh wait, just looked at it closer, that was the summary on the first page of Google, looking closer that reference was for February only, not sure why February was chosen.

It defiantly was not August. For February I can believe it.
