I'm thinking of lowering the temperature of one of my tanks to 72 degrees, which is on the upper cusp of temperate temperatures. I have a frogfish in said tank, so that rules out a few critters, but really any names you could throw out there for temperate corals or inverts (or even corals/inverts that are able to tolerate cooler waters) would be greatly appreciated

I was thinking about just getting live clams (the type from the supermarket) since I know those live in temperate tanks, but I'm also debating making this tank barebottom- I'm not sold yet though.

As far as corals go I would say you are most likely to have success with hardy corals at a lower temp. Examples - gorgs, leathers, shrooms, and zoas! As far as inverts go I would say feather duster worms because some species can tolerate low temperatures (research that because I can’t remember what type!) And I know for sure that jewel top snails can live in a temperate system but I don’t know how easy they are to acquire :) - Hope this helped
