I am in the process of moving tanks. In order to do that I turned off my temperature control through my apex and started using a new stand alone heater. However I kept my temperature probe going to monitor temperature. In that process, it looks like my average temperature has lowered about 1 degree. I used to be 78-79 and over the past few days it has been 77-78. It seems like it has been closer to the low end of 77 mostly.

This morning I found my Kole tang dead. Could this have been the cause?

Thanks.

no….
something else is amiss

Ok, thanks. I have been working in the tank a lot trying to deal with an algae problem. I lost a hawkfish due to stress. I guess this could have been the same.
