I’m installing a fan on my canopy over my aquarium. Should I blow air in or out. I have a temperature control for my heater witch has an inlet for a chiller. My tank doesn’t get that warm but I’m trying to keep the temperature at a somewhat constant. Thanks for any suggestions. Stay safe.

I use a 16inch pedestal fan on my Red Sea S650 and basically point the fan down at the water surface to encourage evaporation and it works a treat.

So I guess you blow air in, and then it comes out if that makes sense.

Also keep in mind that fan does not always cool down a tank. I noticed that if the air inside is considerable higher than the water temperature, instead of cooling the water down it will actually heat the water up when a fan is activated.
