Hello,

I purchased a Nuvo 24G tank (all in one) as my very first saltwater attempt. I got it set up with live sand, live rock and water on Saturday but didn't get a thermometer until yesterday. It's been running between 81 and 83 since yesterday. I feel this is too warm but I don't have any livestock in at present; just cycling. Should I be concerned? Or is this temperature ok? I have a skimmer running and I do have the top on (I would prefer to keep it on if possible). I am also running T5 HO lights. I added a bag of ice in the back and it has brought it down slightly. I'm concerned that I will need a chiller which I really didn't want to deal with, or that i will have to take the top off. I live in Florida so its hot but have the AC running constantly in my house at about 72/74.

Any feed back would be greatly appreciated!

Either raise the lights or remove top and blow fan across surface of water. 2nd option will probably see biggest results but unless your on already have a ato plan on having to add more water. You don't want to raise lights to high either but either of those options are much cheaper and less maintenance then a chiller. Good luck and 82 is about the highest you really want to hit
