I’ve just upgraded to a new tank with sump. I’ve never had a sump before so I need wisdom from experienced people.

Is the temp in the sump the exact same as in the display, or is there always a slight difference, like 0.2 celcius degrees maybe? I’m asking because there is difference between the two in my system (sump temp is lower by 0.2 celcius).

I’m wondering if I should set the temp 0,2 celcius higher, to have the display at exactly the temperature I want ? (this could also be due to Inkbird and digital thermometer having a discrepancy).

Thanks !

My temp probe is in the sump without any further thought put into it.
