So my tank seems to swing from around 79 during the day with my radions on to around 78 at night with them off. Temp Guage is in the sump... Typically 1.3 degree swing. Is that too big of a swing for my soon to be reef tank?

Great thanks. I don't think I could stop it if I tried. I didn't realize how much the radion LEDs in my hood would heat up the water.

Heck, I have mine swing up to 5* per day -- perhaps a bit more with the cooler weather and the windows being open from time to time.

IMO/E, swings that stay within the range of your inhabitants are more desirable than keeping one temperature all the time.
