temperature vs salinity

Ok, so I know the salinity changes a bit with the temperature but which way. Basically, if my water change trash can is cooler water to start will the salinity be lower or higher. Trying to get the salt mix right as the heater is warming up the water
 
Most of the newer hand-held refractometers have automatic temperature compensation. Look to see if your refractometer has the ATC letters on it.

When you do your water changes try to match the same temp as your display tank. Then test to see if your salinty is the same.
 
I don't have anything fancy, I just use a hydrometer. And yes I wait for the temps to be right. I just find myself having to add more salt. Whish there was an Easy Button....lol. thanks
