Hi, two years ago I bought a rose bubble tip anemone that has slowly turned into 7-10 medium to large anemones. I've tried many different ways to get them to move so I could catch them and remove them, but the things don't want to budge. My area MAS's frag swap is coming up and I've decided to fully remove the rocks that the anemones are on and move them to a temporary tank to get them to move off the rock (by turning the rock upside down, I've read).

I need to do this task at least 2 weeks prior to the frag swap so I have time to put them up on the pre-sales, and also so I know if Ill be successful in safely removing the animals. My question is, what are some options of housing the anemones for two weeks to keep them healthy and to keep them from simply reattaching to my live rock. Would keeping them in the temporary tank for two weeks, with poor lighting options, be too stressful for too long? Or would some kind of container floating in the MT be a better option?

Thanks!

try ice in a baggie on their foot to make them let go....

if you can freeze some RO/DI water just go in with the cube and try to get them to let go

after that i would put them in a tank with small rocks to let them attach to, and then sell them with the rock...
