Here is a tenative stock list for My 75 gal mixed reef. I'd like to have inverts but I cannot get past getting a fuzzy dwarf so I believe those might be out of the question.
Sailfin tang
Fuzzy dwarf lion
Mandarin goby
Black Saddleback clown x 2
Lunare wrasse
Dwarf flame angel
Ruby red dragonet
that was my original stock list but I want to absolutely overhaul it cause I want to have a peaceful tank to watch and plenty of corals. I want very colorful fish and plenty of movement. My only must haves:
Pistol shrimp and hi fin goby
Sailfin tang
Mandarin goby
Fish that are not going to eat my inverts
A dark pair of clowns. I would love some designer black clowns such as snowflakes, but due to the price I will probably have to go with a pair of black saddlebacks unless someone wants to sell me some cheap black snowflakes :p
Let the suggestions begin!

Hi there!

I would seriously reconsider the Sailfin Tang. They can get quite big and a 75g is not near room enough.

Is this your first SW tank? If so I have heard that Dragonets can be difficult to keep. I have no experience with these fish so I may be totally wrong.

Have a peacefully 75. Stock are 5 Chromis, 2 false perculas, 2 pajama cardinals, flame angel fish, yellow corks wrasse, Valentini puffer, foxface, firefish

What would be a comparitive alternative as far as color and personality goes? I really like their color and look. I could even grow it from very small and sell it when it gets too large

Yes it is. I planned to wait a while because I am going to have to let pods build up before I get one. I also heard they are finicky waters so I plan to work on that while it Is in qt

I like your stock. And I like valentinis. The only problem with that is I have read they are not reef safe and they tend to eat inverts. If this holds true I don't know, but I so not want to have to spend tons on fish and coral and lose it to a hungry puffer

Thanks for the help as always guys. here is a new stock list I just made. How does it sound to yall? Most are all small fish so instead of one big show fish, I am thinking I will have alot of small colorful movement.
Hi fin red Banded goby
Tiger pistol shrimp
Common Cleaner wrasse
Two black Saddleback (or snowflake) clowns
Royal gramma basslet Barletts anthias or Carberryi Anthias (possibly a small school such as 3 or 4 with 1 male and the rest females)
A firefish
And the clean up crew (snails/hermits/shrimp)

The puffer fish leaves coral and inverts alone. It's my wrasse that eats my clean up crew. From what I been reading on here is that anthias need a bigger tank then a 75.

Had a royal gramma once, had him/her in DT for a week. For 4 days it hid in the rocks and only came out to eat then back to his rock home. The day he/she finally was comfy enough to explore....it explored a crack in my hydor pump, came out being sushi

sorry to hear that! I like sushi but not that kind. I'm pretty excited about this new stock list. I never thought I would go with such small fish, but I figure it will be much more interesting to watch
