Hello, not sure if posting in the right place but I have a 75 gallon tank with mostly peaceful and some semi aggressive fish. Everything was fine up until yesterday, I added a purple dottyback (pseudochromis) and it immediately started scrapping with my six line wrasse, to the point where I had to take action. The six line wrasse already has a damaged fin from the lil’ purp. I want to keep my six line wrasse and return the purple pseudochromis, but he keeps going into little crevices in the live rock. I had my hand and net in the tank for about two hours trying to capture him but he’s super evasive, I didn’t even get close. What can I do to catch him without taking the live rock completely out? I have some corals so I want to be as minimally invasive as possible.. anyone have any suggestions?

I would try a fish trap. Otherwise you will probably have to tear down the tank to get him out.

Phew! Got him! He hid in a crevice in the rock and I quickly snatched the rock and put it in a bucket of tank water, he swam out and I scooped him with a net. Thanks guys
