I noticed two of these things in some of my rock work… I also found a bristleworm out roaming around last night… but this doesn’t look anything like what I saw last night. It has a long tentacle it sticks out and pulls back in. What the heck is it?!

Thank you! I’m glad it is not anything nefarious. What are the predators to Spionoid worms? Also, I just noticed these on my rocks too. Please tell me this isn’t aiptasia? Its a Spionoid worm. They are harmless and they will send they tentacles out to grab food and stuff in tank. They can become a pain in the but though as t hey multiply fast if they have a good food sources. In my 13.5 gallon tank I have so many of them its annoying and their is not much in the way of predators for them. If you dont like them you can always glue them.
Yes, it just sticks out this one long tentacle. There is another one on the back side of the rock that stretches the tentacle out to reach the rock next to it. Only see it at night also. Not sure. Some kind of tube worm I suppose. That worm at the bottom is kind of interesting looking too. Is there just the one tentacle on the one though?
Oh haha yeah.Yes, it just sticks out this one long tentacle. There is another one on the back side of the rock that stretches the tentacle out to reach the rock next to it. Only see it at night also.
I have a serpent star nestled in that rock, so that is likely it’s legs you are seeing below the worm lol.
