I have had this anemone for around a month now and have just started to notice that some of the tentacles seem to have been eaten? Damaged? Halved?
really not sure whether it’s something picking at it in the tank or whether it’s something that I need to change management wise. All other fish and corals doing well.
Parameters of the tank are as follows:
Salinity 1.025
Alk 11
Amonia 0
Nitrate 10
Hopefully you can see what I mean there are a couple of smaller tentacles that have very dark ends and are much shorter.
Any help would be gratefully recieved!

Do you feed it? I’ve read they’ll eat there own tents if they are starving.

Yes it ate yesterday, wondering if I need to try feeding more frequently, currently twice a week although I have seen it grab other bits when I have fed the tank too

My bbt does this all the time. I hardly ever feed my nem.
Looks good to me. Nems don't need to be fed every week. It could cause more harm than good. Give them good lighting and feed the tank, it'll get what it needs. A treat once in a while is fine.

Some people feed and some don’t. Either way an anemone shouldn’t be eating itself. Feed or crank up the lights a bit. I don’t feed my big sebae but I also have my lights cranked up so it gets what I needs from that.
