Tentacles at base of zoa?

Hey guys just got this zoa a couple days ago and noticed these tentacles on the bottom of one of the polyps. Anyone know what this is and/or if I need to be concerned? Thanks in advance.

Aiptasia, if possible try to super glue over it, very bad and invasive hitchhiker as you can see its stinging your zoas.

Aiptasia spread easily so when dealing with them precision is key. I suggest doing some research before going after it with superglue. I just kalk and I inject it with a syringe into the mouth. Joes juice and aiptasia x are options. Don't just try and glue this willy nilly as it shoots spores out when stressed.

Too easy
Using a syringe, take lemon juice or better yet kalkwasser powder mixed with tank water and mix into a thin paste the consistency of toothpaste and inject into the center core of the aptasia and watch it melt away

There's tons of info on this pest, learning about it before you kill is a good idea as it's very commonly encountered.

Thanks everyone for all the info. I’m going to call my LFS when they open and see if they’re willing to swap it out since I just bought it Saturday.

Swapping it would be the safest thing, like others said there are many ways to kill aiptasia. I have found success using super glue gel and encasing the aiptasia completely so none of the spore can be released. I do this out of the water and let the glue sit for about 30 seconds and then place it back in the tank. so far out of the two aiptasia I've run into this technique has proven effective. After doing this I continue to quarantine the corals for at least another 20-30 days to make sure no more pop up. After that I feel confident adding them to my tank and so fare I've managed to keep my display aiptasia free.

I had the same exact thing on a new frag plug of zoas and I had no idea what it was till I looked up 'small anemone on zoa' and found that this cute little nem would become the bane of my existence in my tank ;Rage There's no point trying to manually removing it they just disappear in the rock and most likely sprayed eggs everywhere at the same time. So after doing my research I ordered some AptasiaX and that did help alot with my 3 big ones but the smaller few babies it's really hard bc u need to inject it directly into their mouths. So now I've found what works for me is to let them grow out just a little so that they are big enough to kill and as long as they aren't stinging my corals I will have to accept that till they are all gone.
