Tentacles like hair

Newbie here, this showed up near a rock this morning. Multiple strands (at least 6) of what looks like very thin hair (much thinner than any aptasia I’ve seen so far), coming out from a center under the sand, can’t see the “head.” Tentacles are up to a couple inches fully extended, touched the nearby GSP which didn’t seem to care. Then fully retracted and hid. They are moving independently, curling and exploring, so I assume it’s some kind of animal. Should I keep or try to kill? Please help, thanks!

It was only fully out for a brief period and I didn’t think to count the strands, if there are a dozen we think might be spaghetti worm and if 6 or so it is more likely digitate or branching hydroid? Is digitate/branching hydroid a good guy or “oh my God nuke your tank” guy?

I would second spaghetti worm. due to color and you can see the other tentacles on the sanded next to the rock. hydroids looks distinctly different and they are not good.

Spaghetti worm confirmed, my wife got up really early and got a video of it very active before tank woke up, a dozen tentacles at least. I think it’s mildly irritating to the GSP right next to it but I’m assuming it won’t do any real damage and will help the CUC! Thanks everyone!
