???tentickes or worms

i just noticed this thing in my nano on the rocks. There are quite a few here and there and I have no idea that they are. They are white/translucent stringy about an inch when extended and suck themselves down when I move to close. At first I thought they were hair algae until they moved. Any ideas??? I tried getting a picture but they won't show up on my iPhone

That looks like a digitate hydroid. Cover with epoxy.
 
They tend to come and go with nutrients...cut back on feedings and glue over the ones that are left.

Also tend to be prevalent in newer systems....I had hundreds now I can't find one...
