FINALLY, FINALLY got my RBTA where I wanted him: on the back glass!!! was able to pry him off with a credit card and then put him in a safe spot. Accidentally held it by one of it's tenticles and it fell off... Anything to worry about?

Couldn't say for sure as I've never done that to one. But it doesn't sound like something that would be fatal.

I'd be more worried about you moving it.

Nems go where they're most comfortable with light and flow. If you keep moving it because you want it in a certain place, you're going to stress it out. I have a dozen in one tank and RBTA like to be on rocks. Every so often one or two will wander but they find their way back to a rock. Btw mine are 15 years old.

I'll bet money when it's "unstressed from you ripping a tentacle off it, it moves...

really need to sell it cause it is causing a lot of problems in my tank... I've been waiting for an opportunity like this.

If it is scaling the glass in the tank that leads me to wonder if is getting sufficient lighting?

I agree, they can be problematic. We have one we call "Kami" AKA: Kamikazee - it's tried to commit reef suicide multiple times - a couple of times into powerheads, a couple of trips down the overflow into the sump and once even got melted against a heater. Whenever it got into a "predicament" we would place it in a containment box - "the penalty box" for a couple of weeks to heal, then release it back into "general population".

Overall if it's straining your enjoyment of having a tank, then yes re-home it for it and YOU.

it is getting direct sunlight in the low to mid section of the tank just placed it into a cup higher up in the tank.

It doesn't look bad, but it doesn't look happy. Here's mine minutes ago
