Term "Bump"?

OK don't kill me, i'ma kinda new here... Love this site... Please define "Bump". Is it, you don't know and defer to the next person? Or is It commonly, you agree with the conversation? To me, depending on the thread, it can be taken different ways. Thanks...
 
Bump is used when no one has answered your post. It is an attempt to get that thread to the top of the New Post list, in hopes of getting you an answer.
 
Yeah, basically you're "bumping" it up the list so more people are likely to see it. :) it does knock someone else off the bottom of the "newest post" list, though, so it's considered rude to do it too often (except in emergencies, such as a sick fish.)

Something great about this place is that they won't kill you - that is, unless you're behaving horribly XD
