My house is infested with termites. I have been living with them for years because I have four aquariums, each over 200 gallons, and very difficult to move. Does anybody have any experience or opinion or guess or conspiracy theory that will cost me less than the $7000 it will cost to move them out and move them back again WITHOUT ENDANGERING THE FISH? Of course, I do realize that just the stress alone is dangerous, but nothing compared to nerve gas.

It is my opinion that it must be tented. However, if anybody out there has experience with any other method that will definitely work, please share.

Gracias in advance.

I would look for an honest exterminator and ask if there are any alternatives to tenting for your home.

It's not practical for many people so this wouldn't be the first time alternatives are considered.

That's how to move tanks without loss. Without recycles

As I re read you're asking about leaving them in for treatment vs moving. No, I cannot think of a safe way to do that.

one benefit of the roadmap above is it lets you transfer the systems into holding vats/plastic vats from farm supply company to a friends house for holdings, and all your aquariums can be sustained for days in that way for 500$ not 7K$
