yep drywood termites are aweful. Sub termites are aweful as well but easier to treat .

Yes, I wrote the Advanced Aquarist article describing my experience with termite fumigation. If the same insecticide and tear gas were used and I could tightly cover the tank with proper plastic and provide positive pressure inside the bag (from an outside air pump), I wouldn't move the tank. That article goes into the details.
I read your article, as I am getting a quote to have my house tented.

I’ll find out more information in the next couple of days.

ironically we discovered the evidence of termites installing the RODI system, and I fear I’ll need to remove the fish for the tenting.

I didn’t loose any fish or coral during my tenting. I did periodically turn on the power heads and the return pump remotely via apex. Also had a chiller connected that I would turn when the return pump would run. I tented in February when it was still cool out and after the summer tenting rush was over. It helped as the house did not get extremely hot. The only thing that I couldn’t mitigate for was the ph due to lack of oxygen. It dipped pretty low but I didn’t suffer any losses.
