Terra-cotta pot in reef tank

I am assuming these are OK to be placed in a reef tank I have seen it before I just wanted to double check that there was nothing I had to do to prep it first. Wanted to get a mini pot to place an alveopora into

I know they are fine for a QT, not positive about a reef. Terra-cotta is clay obviously, which would be a mixture of all sorts of minerals, most harmless, some potentially harmful like lead. I wouldn’t do it myself, but you may be alright.

Do an ICP test before and a few months after and turn industry rumor into fact!
