Purchased a BRAND NEW mp 10 QD 4 months ago and last night I switch it to NTM and it kicks off the glass and hits the side of my tank. Put it back on switch it to NTM again and kicks it right back off the glass. Now it has a loud clicking noise in the motor. Clearly there is an issue with it kicking off TWICE in NTM when it has never fallen off prior to this incident. I call ecotech and their solution to my problem is for me to send it in for repairs, and yes I have to pay for shipping. Are you kidding me ?? A 300 dollar pump and this is the best customer service I can get???

They should have a new dry side on its way to my house I didn’t ask for this and I’ll send you the old one when it gets here and include the shipping label for the old one. This was an error on ecotechs behalf. No way shape or form should I have to pay a dime to fix it.

I can’t express enough how garbage this customer service is. Greed is driving this world to where the customer NEVER wins.

AND yes I used the tank mounts which I shouldn’t even have to use to keep the dry side from
Falling when I switch modes.

highly disappointing.

it was brand new 4 months ago. I didnt buy a brand new item for it to turn into a refurbished item a 4 months later. It isnt complicated this isnt a new car. Send me a brand new one and sell that as a refurbished to someone else buying a faulty pump. You couldnt be more wrong. Further more I did give them a chance when I called them and they didnt give me the customer service they should have.

Not to mention what am I suppose to do in the mean time. Ive had it set on reef crest for 4 months. I dont have back up vortechs laying around. So for the next umteen weeks they are fixing it I just put in a cheap pump and change up the flow for X amount of time. I have all SPS and I dont really want anything other than what I have done hence me spending the coin for a pump that is suppose to be second to none. Im not saying its gonna crash my tank or ruin anything but its possible.

Yeah not going to happen hey.

Attached is emailed for Carlos from coralvue. I didn’t even ask for a replacement all I’d did was ask for help In making a gyre quieter and he sent me a new motor. So it does happen

I get it guys I know there’s bad eggs out there that ruin things for everyone. Liam I’m not lookin for a fight here I’m disappointed in ecotech. I apologize for coming off rude and twisting your words but tbh I might have interpreted your post the wrong way.... my bad maybe.

I know ecotech isn’t amazon I still think my solution was fair just based off my experience with coralvue alone. Ya can’t just go sending out free stuff and trust people. You guys are right this is a hobby and an expensive so it’s fair to say most people in are good people But that being said scammers find their ways in everywhere. Idk the point is I expected better from ecotech. Since I created this thread a manager reached out to me and asked me how he could help. so that’s speaks a lot of them they said they would send me a new dry side under the warranty as long as there’s no water damage. None the less I stand by my original thought that it could of been handled better initially, I held ecotech on a pretty high pedestal over all as a company and just felt disappointed by the initial solution. ThAnks everyone.

Hi everyone! I hope you all are enjoying your evening.
I've moved this thread to vendor feedback. This is to open a clean slate for the buyer and the vendor @Tim at EcoTech to hopefully come to a resolution that both parties are happy with.

I appreciate your understanding and hope you all have a great evening :)
