Terry's 180 SPS Peninsula Upgrade

Additional March update:

I bought the Eshoppes Eclipse overflow and a Marineland 27" cube for my remote mangrove tank, that will be plumbed into my system. As I mention in the video above, I was planning on putting it on a new stand behind where the tank sits.

After putting the tank in place, I wasn't crazy about the placement. It felt too cramped. I am going to put the mangrove tank on the other side of the fireplace. Here:

I am thinking a really short stand. Like 12-18" tall, so the tank will sit very low to the ground. I've been looking around at aquascape ideas. Not sure what I am going to do yet.

Have you seen Julian sprung's mangrove Bosnia tank? That should give you some ideas what to do

Your tank and whole setup is droolworthy. I'm constantly impressed by your thread and your videos. Thanks for the inspiration.

Quick question. Did you have to modify your auto-feeder to clamp on the rim of your tank? I've got mine velcro'd but would like something more elegant. The clamp won't fit the rim on my 120 Marineland.

Yes, and I think that is the direction I am going to go. I have an idea for a stand. I'll get to work on it this weekend.

Thank you! I've had my share of struggles for sure.

Two issues that are currently plaguing me, STN from the base of some of my SPS, and Cyano. I am not sure what is the culprit of either of these issues. I upped the NOPOX dose by 1 ml and will keep testing/observing.

Are you happy with the placement of the overflow box? And with the water level in your DT?
And did the level change when you got the new return pump
I have the 9000 right now like you had previously and not sure if I will need a bigger return pump until I get the tank wet.

...

So here is where we are at as of now.

I have bought and drilled a Marineland 25 gallon cube, and plumbed it with Medium Eshoppes Eclipse overflow:

At this point, I just need to drill through the floor, plumb it into a T that already exists in my return line and drop a drain line into my sump. The plan is for the tank to be a mangrove tank. I am not sure if I am going to light it, or what. But I really like how the tank balances the big tank to the left. I am going to wrap the stand in barn wood. The stand is only 16" high, and will not have access under it.

What a build sheesh...attention to detail is outstanding. Also diggin the basement sump i bet that is a dream to work with.

I will say .. ifff window always going to be bright
Cover the tubing on the back so it wouldn't give you a algae break down .. it happen to me
Awesome built fallowing
Great work
