Test kit to begin?

I already got my hanna checkers for nitrate, phosphate. But i need smth to test for the cycle. I hate api test kits. Im not good with colors. I dont care about spending the money but is there something better than api?

I wouldn't bother. A test kit just to test the cycle will be dead money in a few weeks. Just get a Seachem ammonia badge and doing water changes for a couple weeks.
